Happened a few days back. I met one of my old teachers in the hall, and we made small talk. He asked me how things were going, what I was upto these days. I told him about the movies I'd seen this week; it was a pretty smooth conversation until I asked him if he'd seen Fifty Shades of Grey yet. He only had a vague idea about it, and asked me what it was about...things got a little awkward from then on. It didn't help when I mentioned it was based on a book that had 2 sequels too. And he seemed even more amused when I tried to defend my knowledge based on its popularity. TIFU big time...
