I'm a freelance WordPress developer. I'm posting this with a throwaway but I'll happily share my real account with you so you can stalk me.
I focus mostly on front-end development and specialize in making high quality custom themes.
Currently I have more work than I can handle. I have a small team of other freelancers I work with - a graphic designer, a graphic artist, an SEO specialist/content guy.
The time has come to add another developer, there's just too much work and only one me. That's going to be you.
You should -
be proficient in:
- Sass
- PHP
- WordPress
- Git
- Bash
have a solid:
- local development workflow
- understanding of responsive web development
be able to:
- write good, clean, commented code
- commit often
- effectively use branches
- manage your time effectively
- answer email in a timely fashion
If that sounds like you, I'd love to chat you up!
I always pay on receipt of invoice. It's my job to collect from the client, you get paid regardless - you'll never have to deal with clients. If I'm dissatisfied with your work, I'll tell you, but you'll always get paid in full and I'll cover all PayPal fees.
I would prefer to hire someone who already works as a full time freelancer, but moonlighters are welcome. You don't need to be some ninja-buzzword-php-guru. You just need to already know how to make a great source-controlled WordPress theme and you need to already have a solid local development workflow.
Please send me a PM with the following information:
- email address
- how you currently make money and how many hours a week you're generally free
- your hourly rate
- links to your work (portfolio, github, sites you've made, stackoverflow, etc)
- starter themes you've worked with
- a short list of your favorite development utilities, plugins, frameworks, projects, tools, etc
- your current local dev stack and workflow
- a couple examples of the kind of websites you aspire to create
Looking forward to hearing from you!
